From London to Lisbon.
Djumbai, a term in Bissau-Guinean Creole meaning gathering, dialogue, and sharing, names a new summer residency fostering connection among Black LGBTQI+ communities in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
Across a series of Queer Kizomba classes, the residency blends cultural exchange and intentional community spaces. Highlights include four classes led by Tsunami Tânia, hosted in the city centre and the various suburbs, and the debut of London’s Mothaland Soundsystem during the final session.
