Pride is Black, from Ends to Central.
Black Pride Matters returned with a programme of city-wide activations that highlight Black LGBTQI+ creativity and community. Activities range from visual arts to samba and poetry circles, workshops, and the takeover of Lisbon’s annual LGBTQI+ parade, all designed to strengthen connections and amplify voices
Living in a particularly challenging political context, Europe-wide, this initiative underpins the production of the main celebration, amplifying the visibility and cultural impact of Black LGBTQ+ communities that are often overlooked all year long.
