The Pride of being. The Pride of resisting. The Pride of reimagining futures.
Black Pride Matters returns for its second edition, bringing together Black and queer communities to exist, resist, and imagine. Co-curated by Afrontosas and in collaboration with Bazofo & Dentu Zona, the event celebrates African and Afro-diasporic heritages through art, performance, and music, featuring diverse artists who carry cultural pride and creative vision. Leading up to the main celebration, city-wide activations highlighted multiple facets of the Black community, fostering dialogue, visibility, and exchange.
Anchored in Cova da Moura, the programme underscores the resilience, creativity, and shared futures of Black queer communities.
