One of one: our first Lisbon event, one of ballroom’s first public performances, our introduction of a Safer and Intentional Spaces policy, and the country’s biggest Black and Queer gathering at the time. All whilst taking over Marvila, before it became the city’s newest arts district.
Showcasing underrepresented Black creativity through an art exhibition, local business fair, and a COVID-safe party, the event headlined Dengo Club’s founder Saint Caboclo, a fashion show presenting the sustainable, slow fashion and trans-owned brand Kahumbi, as well as an iconic ballroom takeover by Lisbon Vogue Sessions.
A real celebration of Black excellence, community, and joy.
